Event Roundup: 31st Sino-European CSR Roundtable Forum
The 31st Sino-European CSR Roundtable Forum, co-organised by amfori and China Sustainability Tribune, was held successfully on 26 November 2024 in Beijing. With the theme “The Influence and Trend of Green Policies on Supply Chains”, the forum discussed the impact of green policies, regulations and standards on the global supply chain, and shared the latest policy interpretation on the recently concluded COP29 in Baku. Over 280 thousand participants attended the forum physically and virtually.
Ensuring Excellence in amfori QMI with Audit Quality Assurance
Launched in the first quarter of 2022, the amfori Quality Management Initiative (amfori QMI) has achieved remarkable success in helping companies improve the quality of supply chain and trade more responsibly. Launched in 2022, amfori Quality Management Initiative (amfori QMI) was launched in collaboration with amfori members and industry experts. Designed specifically for non-food sector where such standards are lacking, amfori QMI is a fast scanning tool that simplifies the quality assessment process and provides a quick and efficient method to identify gaps in quality management. It also serves as an important element supporting ESG risk management in the supply chain.

The Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, amfori, and GlobeScan co-organised the seminar "Building a Sustainable Future: Enhancing Responsible Business Conduct in the APAC Region" on 22 October 2024. This joint industry seminar brought together over 30 senior executives, trade professionals, and sustainability experts, who participated both in person and online. In light of “Responsible Business Conduct Abroad: Canada’s Strategy for The Future”, a five-year strategy by the Canadian Government, the seminar discuss key issues surrounding Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) for Canadian companies in Asia-Pacific region.
