Launch of the amfori BEPI Code of Conduct

The amfori BEPI Code of Conduct, introduced on 1 January 2024, became a cornerstone for our initiative. It is a commitment by amfori members and their business partners to implement Environmental Due Diligence in their global supply chains, in line with internationally recognised principles. The document establishes guiding principles for amfori BEPI users, outlining the responsibilities of signatories and presenting the values that companies using amfori BEPI need to respect. The amfori BEPI Code of Conduct is available in multiple languages—including English, German, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Turkish, Bangla, and Vietnamese—to ensure accessibility.

During the initial transition period, members operating under the previous Terms of Implementation (ToI) were encouraged to adapt to the new amfori BEPI Code of Conduct.  Since 1 July 2024, signing the amfori BEPI Code of Conduct became mandatory for all users. By signing it, members and partners reaffirm their commitment to improving environmental standards across supply chains. If you are an amfori BEPI user and have not yet signed the amfori BEPI Code of Conduct, read this article to learn how to complete the process.

Introduction of the amfori BEPI System Manual

In line with the amfori BEPI Code of Conduct, we launched the amfori BEPI System Manual, available in several languages—including English, German, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Turkish, Bangla, Vietnamese, Tamil, and Hindi.

The amfori BEPI System Manual serves as the main resource for amfori members, their business partners, monitoring partners, and stakeholders. The 4 parts of the amfori BEPI System Manual provides essential information on the operation of the amfori BEPI System and offers detailed guidance on implementing the amfori BEPI monitoring methodology to support amfori members in their due diligence efforts.

Expansion of Monitoring Partners: Welcoming QIMA and Eurofins

To strengthen our auditing capabilities, amfori BEPI expanded its pool of monitoring partners this year by welcoming QIMA and Eurofins—global leaders in supply chain compliance and product assurance.

QIMA brings expertise from its operations across 85 countries, leveraging digital tools for enhanced accuracy and transparency in audits. Eurofins offers extensive services in factory audits, product inspections, and training across Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. These new additions, along with APCER—another auditing partner added earlier this year—demonstrate our commitment to ensuring robust and comprehensive environmental auditing for our members.

Launch of the Chemical Management in Fashion (CMF) Module

In collaboration with the ZDHC Foundation (ZDHC), amfori BEPI introduced the Chemical Management in Fashion (CMF) module to streamline and enhance chemical management in textile and footwear supply chains. The CMF module, which replaces the previous Chemical Management Audit (CMA), connects the amfori Sustainability Platform with the ZDHC Gateway, reducing duplicated efforts and audit fatigue. This partnership simplifies processes for members and their business partners while promoting sustainable chemical practices.
