Responsible purchasing practices are key to strengthen business relations, ensure business continuity and safeguard human rights across global value chains. This session aims to highlight the challenges producers face in ensuring business continuity, while meeting social and environmental standards in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the role purchasing practices play and how a collaborative business approach can support growth and sustainability.
This conference will examine the current priorities for tackling modern slavery in the context of a range of recent developments - including the Government’s New Plan for Immigration, the Nationality and Borders Bill, and the overhaul of the asylum system - as well as the implications of these developments for addressing modern slavery and supporting victims.
