The session will showcase means to improve compliance, wages and working conditions in the textile, garment- and footwear sector and will highlight the role that worker-driven data can play in social dialogue and collective bargaining based on workers' priorities. Next to discussing the tools and methods, we analyse data from Ethiopia and Indonesia with a focus on earned wages and the wage ladders for minimum wage, living wage and average wages by skill level, and discuss how living wage data can be used by workers, trade unions, policy makers, brands and companies to improve wages and working conditions throughout the textile, garment- and footwear sector. Please register to attend this session.
