The role of Responsible Business Hubs to promote Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence in the textile and garment supply chain in Asia

GIZ in cooperation with its partners BGMEA (The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association), BKMEA (Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association), EuroCham Cambodia and VCCI (Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry) will organize a side session at the 2023 OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector. They jointly establish support structures for manufacturers and build local capacities on HREDD through “Responsible Business Hubs” in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Vietnam. The session will highlight the needs and benefits of Responsible Business Hubs for manufacturers and share country specific insights on fulfilling due diligence requirements in the textile and garment supply chain in Asia.
