Technical Seminar: The First 100 days of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act

Technical seminars provide manufacturers with specific and timely information on key issues facing the sector. Unlike regular online events, the GIZ FABRIC technical seminars are expert-led training and/or consulting sessions where attendees have ample time to ask questions specific to their situations.

Following on from online seminars last year on the then upcoming Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, this event brings together a range of experts to discuss practical implications of the enforcement of the Act on manufacturers in the production countries.

Since the German Act has put due diligence front and centre in discussions on supply chain compliance, we are also taking this opportunity to introduce the Responsible Business Hubs (RBH) which will support local companies in “getting ready” for potential upcoming HREED requirements. A special contribution comes from EuroCham Cambodia (one of four RBH in Asia), to discuss due diligence in Cambodia.

This event should be of interest to any producer in Asia exporting to jurisdictions with already enforceable due diligence laws (such as Germany) or jurisdictions now actively preparing such laws (such as the European Union).
