Lecture II | On the Move: Conversations on Labour Migration

As part of our novel lecture series - “On the Move: Conversations on Labour and Migration”, Work Fair and Free Foundation is pleased to announce the next talk with Dr. Alessandra Mezzadri. Dr. Mezzadri is a Feminist Political Economist based at SOAS where she is Reader in Global Development and Political Economy. She works on supply chain capitalism and labour, social reproduction feminisms and development, and Marxian methods for field-based research. She has two decades experience researching the garment industry, in India and globally.

Dr. Mezzadri’s lecture will be on “Labour chains: International and internal labour migration in global production networks.” The talk will be moderated by Prof. K.P. Kannan, Chairman-Laurie Baker Centre for Habitat Studies, Thiruvananthapuram.
