Fashion's unseen stories exhibition

At the start of 2023, members of a women’s garment collective in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, came together to learn photography skills from a professional photojournalist, Bhargav Shandilya. They were given cameras and spent three months documenting their lives and experiences as homeworkers in the garment supply chain.

The photos they have taken expose both the challenges and the benefits of homeworking.

Drop into the Conference Room in The Foundry between 2-5pm and 5:30-7pm to see the photographs and read the women's descriptions. There will also be two videos playing which explain more about homeworking and this method of photography and storytelling. At 6.30pm there will be a short talk.
