Join Meriel Chamberlin, SDC Member as she looks brands and social enterprise partnering for sustainable textile innovation.

Meriel Chamberlin will also talk about The Mud to Marle Project – a brand, a mill, a uni and a B Corp.

She is passionate about fairness in the supply chain, for people and planet.

The philosophy of her business, Full Circle Fibres, is to bring entire knowledge, transparency and integrity to a supply chain for fabrics and yarns, from their inception to a safe pathway for reuse or end of life nutrient recapture for our earth.

Meriel firmly believes that great products can be made well without exploiting people or place. While the term “social enterprise” often appears alongside her work, ensuring that every part of the supply chain is fair and sustainable is at Meriel’s core and she considers this to be “just good business” – indeed is any other business model simply ‘anti-social enterprise?”

After Studying Textile Science in Manchester, and gaining experience in 4 continents, her combination of knowledge, experience, know-how and “un-” common sense is unique, making her a rare breed in the industry. She gains immense satisfaction from sharing this knowledge and acting as a catalyst for sustainable change.
