Design practices and business models for sustainability workshop led by Centre for Sustainable Fashion

As part of the ReModelling Fashion project, Challenge 3 of the Business of Fashion Textile and Technology (BFTT) partnership, join us for a presentation and workshop in which we will use future scenario building methods to address key challenges for sustainability in design.

This event is a part of University of the Arts London (UAL) Research Season, and will be an opportunity to learn about the ongoing collaborative research between Centre for Sustainable Fashion at UAL, and the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing at Cambridge University.

After a short presentation of the research, participants will immerse themselves into the future scenario building tools developed as part of the project to discuss the interplay of key themes in shaping a vision for regenerative systems in fashion and beyond. Using the step-by-step method developed with students, SMEs and a large UK retailer over the past 18 months of the project, the participants will break away from conventional approaches of designing inside a context, to instead question what future contexts might be and ask how we might then design in response to uncertainty.

This workshop is open to all, it will be most relevant to students and professionals working in fashion design and business models.
