Join Fashion Revolution & Remake for a night of fashion activism and networking featuring a deep dive into policy, advocacy and campaigning

This session is a masterclass on Campaign and Movement Building, featuring case studies on fashion campaigning and advocacy led by Fashion Revolution and Remake. The aim of this session is to bring together London-based activists and sustainable fashion advocates and inspire action post-COP27.

Fashion Revolution’s recently launched first of it kind campaign Good Clothes, Fair Pay will be discussed in detail. The campaign is calling on the European Commission to introduce legislation on living wages for garment workers worldwide. We will discuss the ins and outs of the campaign and how to get involved. Fashion Revolution #WhoMadeMyClothes, and other ground-breaking transparency campaigns will be discussed which have been highly engaging and successful in advancing transparency in the industry. To support this, we will also leverage findings from the Global Fashion Transparency Index, an annual review of 250 of the world’s largest fashion brands and retailers ranked and analysed across a broad spectrum of human rights and environmental disclosure indicators. Since 2017, the Index has been viewed as a valuable tool in the industry and in 2022, directly influenced 62% of the world's largest fashion brands who participate in the research.

Joining Fashion Revolution are Remake, who have led an incredible campaign called #PayUp which helped to successfully recoup USD$22 billion from more than 25 major brands for orders they placed prior to the pandemic, making it one of the most successful garment worker wage theft campaigns in modern fashion history. They will also share insights around their campaigning on the International Accord, which is an enforceable brand agreement protecting workers in Bangladesh and beyond.

Please join us for an exciting night of activism and networking.
