Explore the latest policy development and thinking on green communications and consumerism

More and more people want to buy products and brands that make a positive impact on the world. But with the proliferation of greenwash, consumer trust is eroding and regulators are now stepping in. At the same time there are new calls to action to fundamentally transform consumer culture and consumerism.

How can businesses, brands and consumers navigate this evolving landscape?

On January the 18th Futerra’s Group CEO, Lucy Shea, will host a discussion with Aja Barber, Fashion Consultant and author of Consumed: The Need For Collective Change; Colonialism, Climate Change & Consumerism and Cecilia Parker Aranha, Consumer Protection Director, Competition and Markets Authority.

They’ll discuss the CMA’s new Green Claims Code, which helps businesses to understand how to communicate their green credentials while complying with their existing obligations under consumer protection law. They’ll also discuss key insights from Aja Barber’s new book and what the future of cosumer culture could look like.
