- Technical Seminars provide manufacturers with specific and timely information on key issues facing the sector. Unlike regular online events, the GIZ FABRIC Technical Seminars are expert-led training and/or consulting sessions where attendees have ample time to ask questions specific to their situations.
Online Seminar #6
In May 2022, GIZ FABRIC hosted a candid conversation about how the industry could collectively achieve decarbonisation targets (see the discussion here). This technical seminar is a deeper dive into the ‘nuts and bolts’ of decarbonisation.
With pressure mounting on the industry to reduce its environmental impact, it is essential manufacturers not only stay abreast of relevant discussions but also to understand how to implement solutions that work.
In this event, attendees will hear from two speakers: a factory owner in Pakistan who has embarked upon an extensive decarbonisation strategy, and a technical specialist from the International Labour Organization.
Both speakers will discuss how factories can meet specific targets, what results are realistic, and how they view the future of decarbonisation in the supply chain and the fashion industry in general.
There will be adequate time for attendees to ask technical questions and discuss issues in detail.
