Background
The International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that 25 million people are in forced labor globally. Of them, 20.8 million people are working in the private economy, many of them women and children. The global pandemic has heavily increased the risk of modern slavery exposing already vulnerable groups, such as migrant workers to bonded labor, human trafficking, and debt bonded labor.
