Inclusion in Textile Supply Chains +++ Webinar for brands and suppliers

The GIZ Global Project Inclusion of People with Disabilities, the German Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, and the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (Internationaler Verband der Naturtextilwirtschaft, IVN) cordially invite you to join us for the launch of the “Guidelines on Inclusion in Textile Supply Chains”. The virtual workshop will take place on 07th of April 2022 9:30 – 11am CET.

Background
Numerous barriers, for instance, in education but also stigmatization, prevent equal participation of persons with disabilities in the labour market. Due to multiple discriminations, women, children, youth and refugees with disabilities are among the most disadvantaged worldwide. Companies face challenges in addressing those barriers and designing inclusive workplaces.

Guidance
To address those challenges and help companies in promoting the employment of people with disabilities in a non-discriminatory and practical manner, the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles together with the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (Internationaler Verband der Naturtextilwirtschaft, IVN) and the GIZ Global Project Inclusion of People with Disabilities developed the guidance "Inclusion in Textile Supply Chains". The guidance contains information on inclusion but also practical recommendations for companies and suppliers, and is available in English and German.

Objectives of the workshop
The guidance will be officially launched and presented in the workshop. Special attention will be paid to how brands and suppliers can use the guidance and address barriers to inclusion. An inclusive company will share experiences. There will be opportunity for exchanging and networking. The workshop will be moderated by denkmodell.
