ILO: Women's Leadership and Gender Equality in the garment sector
ILO's Women’s Leadership and Gender Equality in the garment sector, self-directed learning modules
The Asia Garment Hub will be showcasing the Women’s Leadership and Gender Equality in the garment sector, self-directed learning modules. This training was developed under the Decent Work in Garment Sector Supply Chains in Asia project (ILO-Sida). It draws on ILO’s substantive work on advancing gender equality in the world of work and the findings of the ‘Moving the Needle: Gender Equality and decent work in Asia’s Garment Sector’ report (2021).
The 5 (five) self-directed learning modules focus on key challenges blocking progress on achieving gender equality in the global workplace, and in particular for women in the textiles and garment sector. These modules are aimed at manufacturers, workers' and employers' organizations, brands, governments as well as development organizations and workers (women and men) in the garment sector. They are available in Bahasa, Burmese, Khmer and Vietnamese languages. These modules were developed in conjunction with the ILO’s International Training Center (ITCILO).
The International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO) is the training arm of the International Labour Organization (ILO). It runs training, learning and capacity development services for governments, employers' organizations, workers' organizations and other national and international partners in support of Decent Work and sustainable development.
