Self-learning program on Climate Action with Energy Efficiency focus for fashion manufacturers in Vietnam

This series of self-learning workshops and their supportive documents were extracted from “The Climate Action Training with Energy Efficiency focus for fashion manufacturers in Vietnam” (CAT EE) which was delivered under the Initiative for Global Solidarity (IGS) from May 2022 to June 2023.

IGS is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Objective

The learning program aims to provide educational materials for learners to help them build knowledge about energy efficiency in textile and garment (T&G) sector and skills on GHG accounting and Climate Action Plan development for their factory.

Target audience

With the contents being customized to adapt Vietnam’s context and regulations, the program targets staff working for T&G manufacturers in Vietnam. These staff can be positioned in different departments in the facilities, from energy/electricity, environment to compliance, human resources, OSH.

Beginners and those learners having less understanding about the training topics are recommended to take the full - class, while those having some knowledge and experience are recommended for the optimized - class.
