OECD Forum | Parallel session: Chemicals management – A global concern for the garment and footwear sector

The manufacturing of textiles is a chemical intensive process that requires proper chemical management to minimise risks to human health and the environment throughout the life-cycle of garments and footwear. The active leadership, commitment and partnership roles of industry throughout value chains is essential to the success of the new Global Framework on Chemicals - For a Planet Free of Harm from Chemicals and Waste.
