Imagining Possibilities for Fashion Education: a walking conversation

Part of the LCF Fashion Undressed: Imagining Possibilities collection. Join us for discussions around the values and purpose of fashion education.

Starting at LCF’s East Bank Campus, this session will be an active gathering of people interested in discussions around the values and purpose of fashion education and how we might imagine and enact new possibilities for students and educators. How can fashion education nurture fashion practices that allow for human and planetary flourishing, rather than perpetuating and upholding the exploitative and extractive ways of the prevailing fashion industry?

We will use sensory activities to explore personal and collective responses to a series of provocations. Participants will create a constellation of field notes that form a walking sketchbook, ready to be shared with the group. No drawing skills necessary!

Please note this activity will be outside so dress in accordance with the weather. Please notify of any access or mobility requirements when signing up.

This event is part of the LCF Undressed: Imagining Possibilities festival by Centre for Sustainable Fashion with London College of Fashion, UAL.
