Greater reach, greater impact: The benefits of the Asia Garment Hub & Common Objective merger

By Juliette Tafreschi, March 7th 2025

The Asia Garment Hub is joining forces with  Common Objective (CO) to create a stronger, more connected platform for sustainable fashion. With CO’s global reach—65,000+ professionals—and AGH’s regional expertise, users gain expert guidance and new opportunities to connect with brands, buyers, and partners driving positive change. What does this mean for users, and how will it shape industry collaboration? Tamsin Lejeune, CEO of CO, and Melanie Plank, Director of Content & Research, share their insights.

What value does the Asia Garment Hub bring to Common Objective’s existing platform?
The Asia Garment Hub brings deep regional expertise, strong industry connections, and a legacy of collaboration across Asia’s garment sector. Their resources, insights, and network of suppliers, manufacturers, and policymakers will add huge value to CO, helping our members gain a more in-depth understanding of key production hubs and sustainability challenges. Plus, with CO’s intelligent search rankings—where the most sustainable businesses get the highest visibility—AGH’s suppliers and manufacturers will have an even better chance of getting discovered by the right partners.

What opportunities does the merger create for Common Objective’s users?
This merger means more opportunities to connect, learn, and collaborate. CO users will now have direct access to AGH’s specialised content and regional insights, making it easier to engage with suppliers, manufacturers, and experts in key garment-producing countries. Whether you're a brand looking for responsible sourcing options or a supplier wanting to showcase your sustainability credentials, this merger opens doors to learning, collaboration, and impact.

What role will the Asia Garment Hub’s resources and expertise play in shaping the CO platform?
AGH has a strong track record of providing practical tools, research, and insights on sustainability and responsible sourcing. This expertise will strengthen CO’s offering, ensuring members—whether brands, suppliers, or policymakers—have access to high-quality, actionable information that supports real change.

How can manufacturers, brands, and suppliers benefit from the resources of the merged platform?
Manufacturers and suppliers will gain more visibility in front of CO’s global audience, making it easier to connect with brands looking for responsible sourcing partners. Brands will have better access to supplier insights and sustainability resources, helping them make smarter sourcing decisions. It’s a win-win—stronger connections, better opportunities, and more industry knowledge in one place.

How will the merger strengthen Common Objective’s ability to foster collaboration in the fashion industry?
Bringing AGH into CO makes it even easier for industry players to connect and collaborate. AGH has built a strong network in Asia, while CO connects a global community of brands, suppliers, and sustainability professionals. Together, we’re creating a more dynamic space where members can share knowledge, form partnerships, and drive change across the fashion supply chain.

What message does Common Objective have for Asia Garment Hub users joining the platform?
