A Case Study on the Implementation of a Menstrual Health Intervention in the Workplace

UNFPA Return-on-Investment Tool (ROI-T)

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Asia and the Pacific Regional Office has developed – in collaboration with Good Business Lab – a Return-on-Investment Tool (ROI-T) based on the latest academic and business evidence available, aiming to demonstrate to businesses and private sector stakeholders the positive financial returns of investing in the provision of SRHR services to employees in the workplace. UNFPA’S ROI-T helps businesses to become agents of change by demonstrating the financial and impact sustainability of SRHR programmes delivered in the workplace, and providing opportunities to overcome some of the barriers that workers face in accessing these services in the public sector. By showing that companies can reap positive economic returns, the ROI-T strengthens the business case for private investments in SRHR, leading to a healthier and more empowered workforce.
