On October 19 & 20, we welcomed more than 200 participants at the amfori Annual Event 2022. Watch the after-movie here.
Members, stakeholders and sustainability enthusiasts from 30 countries in Europe, Asia and The Americas joined us in Brussels.
A fruitful 2-days networking event where we discussed various topics from ESG Impact, Reaching Net Zero, Sustainability Reporting to Implementing HREDD and Grievance Mechanisms.
We invited expert speakers and panellists to the stage to discuss a broad range of topics:
- One of the panellists was Hanna Helgesdotter from Systembolaget, who made a statement on human rights violations: ‘Working with unions in our supply chain is fundamentally important because it is a harsh reminder what those risks actually imply for real people.’
- Benafsha Delgado, one of the keynote speakers, from UN Global Compact Network UK, stated ‘HREDD legislation is no longer a trend but a reality’
- Lara Hutt together with experts from amfori, Ulula and the Green Climate Fund discussed on how the intention to collaborate towards impactful grievance mechanisms is a good start, but a common objective and process is key.

amfori President Linda Kromjong stated: we are now close to 2500 members. We will leverage the fact that many of amfori members are buyers and suppliers and we commit to listen to their needs so we can develop tools and processes that further advance the entire value chain. There is a huge opportunity to grow, to develop and improve further.
