Summary of the online seminar "Promising Practices in Advancing Equality and Non-Discrimination in the Garment Sector"

This webinar will provide attendees with the opportunity to become familiar with the key concepts related to advancing gender equality and non-discrimination in the garment sector. At the end of the webinar, attendees will have learned of examples of effective policies and measures to prevent and address discrimination (including intersecting forms such as race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction, social origin and disability) and ensure fair recruitment, non-discrimination and equality of opportunity. The session will also highlight occupational segregation as well as indicators and international frameworks that support equality in the labour market (such as Convention No. 111).
